About Young World Leaders
Young World Leaders is a group of pre-college leadership and immersion programs in the United States designed for students from around the world. This US-based program focuses on cultural and English language immersion, leadership development and academics.
Young World Leaders is a program created and maintained by Sandy Spring Friends School, a private college preparatory school located in the heart of Montgomery County, Maryland.
Young World Leaders offers a series of winter and summer American academic and cultural experiences that enrich cultural competence and communication among global-minded students. With exposure to an international student body, American literature and history, and cultural locations such as Washington, D.C., New York City, Baltimore and Philadelphia, YWL students gain the necessary leadership and language skills to become confident global leaders of tomorrow.
Our mission is to develop confident and empowered global leaders through academic enrichment, leadership training and cultural immersion in America. By providing students with stimulating classes and various opportunities to share knowledge and experiences in real-world situations, Young World Leaders promotes important global conversations between young people from all over the world in a fun and nurturing environment.
